I love to refinish furniture.  My night stand was looking a little plain, so I decided to give it a bit of a face lift.  I was shooting for a worn, white-washed look.  Once dry I used a stencil I picked up at WalMart for the top corners.

I finished it with two coats of a water-based polyurethane.

After painting I found that I did not sand the lower two shelves quite enough- the paint did not stick like I wanted it to.  Overall, though, I’m happy with it.  🙂
